A National-Level MedTech Hackathon 2024 was conducted at KLE University on 20th August, 2024 at Belgaum attracting over 200 participants from across the country. Ms. Shruptha Padival, a Ph.D scholar from SDM Centre for Cellular and Molecular Sciences (CCMS - Pragyan), Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara (SDMU) University, Dharwad, secured the 3rd place in the competition. The competition featured three categories: poster presentation, oral presentation, and live demonstration of prototypes. Ms. Padival presented "VIOPAR - DFU - Visualizing Infectious Organisms and Predicting Antibiotic Response in Diabetic Foot Ulcers" which aids in the rapid detection of Microbiome and AMR genes for the betterment of Diabetic foot ulcer therapeutics.
